Installer
DuBois Granite and Quartz is seeking an individual to join our installation team. This is an opportunity for individuals who want to be part of a professional, fast-paced team, and dislike being tied to a desk. If you have the starting skill set we are willing to train.
Our installation team can travel within a 100-mile radius of our location and is responsible for countertop installation at our customer’s location. The right candidate for the Installer Position would have some construction experience, enjoy problem-solving, and like having variability in their workday.
Responsibilities:
• Using a forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment along with hand tools
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Read and understand fabrication drawings.
• Work to proper safety standards.
• Must pay attention to detail and be able to take directions
• Must be able to lift over 80lbs
• Must be professional and flexible
• Carry and move stone efficiently without damage to stone or customer surroundings
• Work efficiently, maintaining high quality
Hours: This is a full-time position (35-45 hours a week). The fabrication shop hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30. Installation crews will begin their day at 7 am and travel throughout Western Pennsylvania, so the installation site's location will determine the workday's length. Overtime pay is paid at (1.5 x hourly rate) for any hours worked over the regularly scheduled 40-hour work week.
Required Skills: The successful candidate should be interested in operating machinery and producing beautiful, quality products. This job is both physically demanding and intellectually stimulating. The candidate will work closely with other team members whose cooperation and physical safety are paramount.
Candidates must be over 18 years of age and able to work 40 hours a week
Candidates must be able to lift at least 80 pounds waist-high
Candidates must have a valid driver's license
Candidates must agree to a background check
Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening
Compensation: Compensation will be based on previous work experience. All full-time employees will receive seven paid holidays, 13 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO), a $100 yearly allowance for safety footwear (any additional safety or PPE will be provided by DuBois Granite & Quartz), overtime pay for any hours worked over the regularly scheduled 40-hour work week and elidgable for monthly production bonus and year-end bonus. Full-time employees can enroll in a supplemental insurance program and a Simple IRA with a 3% matching.
Reporting: Installers will report directly to the Chief of Installation.
